Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The history of armor dates back more than 3,400 years when the earliest bronze metal armor sets and gears were created in Ancient Greece. Through the ages, Man has constantly innovated the armor as a form of protection from bodily harm during war. What fascinates me is the amount of effort we often take to protect ourselves from physical harm and yet forget the real pain that can be afflicted on our minds and emotions. As I painstakingly created this piece of art over a period of 4 months, my mind was constantly focused on the truth that there is an armor that is naked to the human eye, yet is able to keep and protect us like nothing else can. May this artwork continue to remind all of us to protect what truly matters - our inner man and to allow the Armor of God to do it for us.
HYPERREALISM DIASEC PRINT
Drawn to Reality
"Every piece of art created looks no different from a high-resolution image. It is hand-drawn stroke by stroke. I chose to recreate on the digital medium as it allows me to go into details otherwise impossible with traditional medium. What motivated me to go into this art form was when I was challenged by the Lord to train myself to be patient and to persevere to complete every image to close to the original. Each art piece is produced on DIASEC™ Print or on Artist Paper Framed in limited editions. You will also bring home the entire creation experience on the Augmented Reality application -- Artivive." -Patrick Lee, Artist
